Het Faire Oosten

>>Address Waldenlaan 208, 1093 NH Amsterdam on the map and Javastraat 113-115 on the map

Without any doubts Het Faire Oosten is the most gezellig concept store in Amsterdam Oost. The warehouse of 600m2 hosts a big store and workshop rooms. Magali Heuberger, the founder of the place, and her team put a lot of effort to make the space cosy and inviting. And here come the good news: the second HFO store opened its doors on Javastraat this October.

Het Faire Oosten is known for supporting local brands, and the choice here is fantastic. Curms, Yoni, Bamboo Groove, Smittens Knuffels, Nanini, Tolhuijs, Butcher’s tears, El Jefe Primo Salsa, Bliss, Skills or Skulls skateboards — you name it. The range of goods is quiet big: from furniture, home accessories, toys, food, books and gifts to clothing, jewelry, cosmetics and art. Get ready to leave with a little something even if you didn’t plan on doing any shopping.

Shopping + Hair styling

>>Address Sumatrastraat 54, 1094 NG Amsterdam on the map

When you enter Draagbaar, the first thing to grab your attention is not a nice piece of jewelry. Not even a fancy sweater from a local designer. It’s Diesel, the corgy dog, who will make you stay for longer with a burning desire to pet and hug. Pull yourself together and check out the menu: besides the fantastic local shopping you can treat yourself with a stylish haircut. Laura and Kim, the friendly founders, will help you make a good choice.

In the front part of the store you can find design, art and fashion of young Dutch and Belgium designers and artists. Come here for the brands like Marlou Verheijden, NOMODE, studio JUX, VINTEC, Beitske Bouwhuis, Kirste Offringa, La Nonette, ESSA Design, Ella Nitters, Afgestoft, Leo Cahn, Define Vague, UTEK, PERKA design, Tante Lien, Erik Dijkstra and Cactus Billy.

All the Luck in the World

Shopping + Coffee

All the Luck in the World

>>Address Linnaeusstraat 20HS, 1092 CK Amsterdam on the map

All the Luck in the World is one of that stores where you want to instagram explore every inch. Enjoy it’s beautiful vintage and new designs, combined with handmade goods made by local artists. Make sure to order a cup of coffee here — it’s delicious — and find a good spot near the big windows to sit down and chill.

The concept was created by talented mother and daughter: Jane (designer and artist) and Nina (goldsmith). They collect and create lovely products to bring joy: rare and unique, customized or completely handmade, and always personal and special. In their stores (two in Amsterdam and one in Utrecht) you can find local brands like Mae Engelgeer, Keecie, All the Luck in the World (their own jewelry brand) and many more.

The Cool Collective

>>Address Oranje-Vrijstaatplein 3, 1093 NG Amsterdam on the map

The Cool Collective is a temporary concept store with a great choice of fashion, lifestyle and vintage items. Do you remember this feeling when you leave the fancy concept store upset, cause you can’t afford that super expensive leather jacket? Forget it. The Cool Collective offers very attractive prices for brands like Maison Scotch, Supertrash, Amsterdam Monsak and many others. Besides that, it’s a great place to look for a nice gift. And they have a tipi in the house — if that’s not a great reason to drop by, what is?
