Behind the scenes
Blue Rose Saxophones has one goal: to craft the loveliest saxophones in the world.
Florian Rooz, the driving force behind Blue Rose saxophones, first spend years building a world-wide on-line music education business, which now reaches millions of viewer’s/music students each year. After repeatedly receiving requests for very specific instruments-designs he clearly perceived something was missing in the market and he decided to go for it and design his own saxophone. Now, two years later, his creations are hitting the international instrument market and creating a big stir.
This is what Blue Rose Saxophones says about itself:
‘Dreamy, different, interesting, beautiful, tantalizing, naughty, saxy or simply… A horn to love!
When you love something, you just know it. Balls to bones! And if we know one thing, it’s that every saxophone player loves his or her instrument. A saxophone is not just some “thing” it’s a partner, a companion, an extension of yourself that can be as dear to you as an arm or a leg.
#aHornToLove needs: a price to love, a sound to invoke the soul of your hero’s, a feel akin to Marilyn Monroe’s hips, Looks to kill, and a depth of culture that connects you to the history of all art and music.
A Horn to love is not just an instrument, It’s a peace of art that is meant to become part of your life. Inspiring you to play songs from your balcony in the morning sunlight, to sing in the rain and to give the soundtrack of your life a powerful voice that portrays all that you are’.
The design of the Blue Rose Saxophones is tied closely with the culture of Amsterdam. They are bold but elegant, innovative but also embracing the remarkable history of saxophones in the world. Mix it all with a designer and artist who is also a vibrant part of Amsterdam’s session music scene, and you have a recipe for a product that is as much a piece of art as the music that is meant to be played on it.
Blue Rose Saxophones offers two models: The Bad Boy (Tenor) and The Lady (Alto). Once you’ve chosen a model the designer works closely with you to choose a finish and a personal setup that fits your preferences and playing style.
